So, what exactly is an Iced AeroCano?
An Iced AeroCano is made by briefly aerating espresso before serving it over ice. This process incorporates air into the coffee, creating a smoother, creamier texture while bringing out some of the natural characteristics of the coffee.
The result is a drink that's somewhat reminiscent of a nitro cold brew — creamy and silky without needing milk or cream.
For our version, we combine coffee and coconut water before aerating it briefly with our steam wand and pour it over ice.
Why coconut water?
Coconut water adds a subtle natural sweetness and a refreshing finish without making the drink feel heavy.
Unlike an iced latte, there's no large amount of milk involved, so you still get the flavour and character of the coffee while the coconut water keeps things light and incredibly refreshing.
The combination of the aerated coffee and coconut water creates a really interesting balance: smooth and creamy, subtly sweet and wonderfully refreshing.
