Cascara Tea (150g) - Dried Coffee Fruit Tea
Cascara tea is a naturally fruity, gently caffeinated drink made from the dried skins of the coffee cherry. Once the cherries are harvested, their outer fruit is dried and later steeped just like a loose-leaf tea. The result is a vibrant brew packed with antioxidants and a light lift of energy—perfect if you’re after something a little different from your usual coffee or tea routine. Enjoy it warm and comforting, or chilled and refreshing, and sweeten it with honey or sugar if you prefer.
How to Brew
Use your favourite teapot, French press, plunger, or even a simple mug. Measure 5g of cascara to 250ml of hot water (around 95°C) and steep for 4 minutes. Strain, discard the leftover fruit, and sip away.
For a cool summer version, use 10g of cascara and steep for 7–10 minutes—or leave it overnight if using room-temperature water. Strain, add plenty of ice, and enjoy a crisp, fruity iced tea.
A drizzle of honey or a spoonful of sugar can give it an extra pop of sweetness if desired.
